Covid Secure Measures for our B&B Guests

Here’s what we’re doing to keep you and our teams safe and to make sure you enjoy your Cornish experience with us:

Car Parking Parking at the Inn is sign posted but very limited and we are unable to reserve spaces. We do have 3 spaces behind our garage at the back of the Inn and 4 in front of the garage, where you can park. Should these spaces not be available, please drop off your luggage in the passing place, check in and then park your car in the public car park in the village.

Checking-in and Checking-out Check in at the residents entrance on the mezzanine floor. Reduced contact at check-in and check-out, touchless self check in procedure, sanitised keys. Guests receive a key code to access their keys on check in ( please be reassured that there is an emergency phone number to call should you have any concerns on the day and the Inn is closed) We minimise contact by running room tabs for outstanding room balances, drinks and food purchased, which are to be settled at the breakfast table on the day of check – out. Please exit by the residents door and leave your key in the lock on the outside of your room door. 

Social distancing and Hygiene Additional deep cleaning of high touch surfaces, such as door handles and handrails with Diversey-approved disinfectants to the European standard of EN14476, effective against COVID-19. Hand sanitiser available at high-touch points throughout the Inn and staff using the “step back and serve” approach. 

In the bedroom Visible verification of sanitised items (e.g. glassware, remote control), reduction of in-room furnishings/high-touch items, laundry protocols of laundering all our linen at over 60 degrees, with disinfectant detergent so you can enjoy a safe night’s sleep We’re paying special attention to cleaning TV remotes, door handles and desks. New use of “fogging” technology between guest stays.

Housekeeping Unlike other places to stay, we employ our two housekeepers members and they have worked with us for many years, meaning we’re able to ensure they maintain high standards in cleanliness and hygiene training. We are minimising entrance to the rooms and ask our guests to request changes of towels at breakfast time. Replenishment of the tea tray will be left in a plastic sealed bag outside the door daily along with any requested towels. Guests staying longer than 4 days can expect a fully change over in the middle fo their stay, unless the housekeeper is specifically asked not to enter their room. 

Protective equipment for our teams To protect our team members we’ve provided them with PPE equipment including gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser and face masks.
